big shoes to fill

These shoes belonged to my father, Sam Lambert. My Dad was a fighter pilot in WWII; he loved the Navy, his family, flying, vintage cars and kitties. He was a collector, and his possessions were very important to him. He left behind many things when he left this world. I brought home with me this beautiful pair of wingtips. I brought them home to photograph, they were freshly polished and soles oiled, like the good military man he was. I wanted them out of respect. I wanted to try and honor his memory through my work. My Dad was a great man; he will forever live on in my heart and he definitely has some big shoes to fill. I printed the image in my shoe size, the shoes were never worn.
